Glenfoyle, built by North Ireland SB. Co. Ltd., Londonderry in 1913 and operated at the time of her loss by the Royal Navy, was a British Q-ship of 1680 tons. [1917 operated as decoy “Q” ship under the names DONLEVON and STONECROP] On September 18th, 1917, Glenfoyle was sunk by the German submarine U-43 (Waldemar Bender), when 65nm southwest of Mizen He, Ireland. 18 persons were lost.
